His absence could mean Anthony Davis steps up to lead the Lakers

While we can only assume what he means, some think that he is trying to figure out what this current situation could mean. In such a moment of need, it’s most likely that James’ right-hand man Anthony Davis will get a chance to step up.

This will definitely be an experience that will help him grow as a leader. As mentioned before, they will need Davis more than anything during this time. Since there is no definite timeline on LBJ’s return, there is no telling how long the purple and gold will have to survive without him.
