The death of Lakers icon Kobe Bryant sent shock waves across the NBA fraternity. One of the greatest players of all time, Kobe lost his life unexpectedly in early 2020. Aside from being a maverick on the court, the 18-time All-star was a gentleman off of it, and also had a wonderful family. One person who was naturally affected badly by his passing, was his wife Vanessa Bryant. Recently, she was seen celebrating Halloween with a close comrade of Kobe – the legendary Pau Gasol.

Gasol and Bryant were teammates at Los Angeles. They shared a bond that went well beyond the on-court game. A friendship lasting close to two decades, Gasol had penned a touching tribute on his buddy’s death anniversary. In an emotional post, the 41-year-old had said, “Not a day goes by that you are not present in what I do.” The star considered it his obligation to stay in touch with Kobe’s family; that’s what his friend would’ve wanted. And on the occasion of Halloween, the families met and dressed up together.

Kobe Bryant fans get teary-eyed as Pau Gasol celebrates Halloween with Vanessa and family

On the 31st of October, the NBA’s biggest stars dressed up incredibly for Halloween. It was a celebration of color, fashion and style. Very close knit for years now, the families of Kobe Bryant and Pau Gasol united too. In a gorgeous Twitter post, the 6-time All-star shared an image of the families dressed up. He captioned it, “Magical at Disneyland!” 

It was a wonderful image in a wonderful setting. Everyone was dressed in black and white, leaving fans awestruck. Many of them got emotional at the post, reminiscing the friendship of Kobe and Pau.
