Kyrie Irving came in as a young college kid and he took the league by storm. His dribbling skills were out of this world and he had shown signs of greatness in his first few years. His skill set was so unique and deep that it could rival the best in the league.

Then he got called to represent Team USA on the international stage. Kyrie got to play with Kobe Bryant, Stephen Curry, and James Harden. Kyrie learned a lot from Kobe as the veteran was mentoring a young kid. But Kyrie was not afraid to back himself and never was afraid of challenges. And once he dared the great Black Mamba itself.

Kyrie Irving dared Kobe Bryant

Andre Iguodala was on the team in which Kyrie made his Team USA Debut. He talked about Kyrie’s recent 50 point game and who can compare to Kyrie with former NBA player Evan Turner. Turner talked about how Kyrie is special and a story about him in college. He said he was out due to an injury, and he came back directly to the NCAA tournament and he came back and put up 28, which is incredible for a college player, and that too for someone who came back from an injury.

Iguodala talked about how Kyrie went past four superstars in practice and how he dared the Black Mamba. Iggy added,” What makes this guy think that he can tell Kobe Bryant to his face.. that I’ll beat you right now. One on one.”

Even at a young age, Irving never failed to believe in himself. He dared the Black Mamba, and the young kid’s attitude impressed Kobe. Irving has also attended Bryant’s camps and the two have shared a warming relationship. The Lakers legend was pleased to see a young kid believe in himself and that another player had the skills and determination to challenge him.
