Playing with the best naturally makes you feel like you belong. For the now 45-year-old Garnett, playing with Scottie Pippen was his moment of reckoning. He said that many years ago, Isiah Thomas helped him believe that he could make it in the league. In a recent interview with the ‘Million Dollaz Worth of Game’ podcast, he revealed a hilarious story that was eventually life-changing for him.

“I saw the same kind of following and the difference was the game that Isiah Thomas, I actually speak through this. I had a chance to come into a gym and play with Michael Jordan. I came in and played Michael Jordan, he put me on Scottie Pippen. We got into this game and I’m playing against Scottie Pippen. After that game, Isiah Thomas pulled me to the side. You see what you just did? You can play in the league,” quoted Garnett.
