Brooklyn Nets have now lost 10 games straight in the absence of Kevin Durant. Durant has been out since mid-January due to an MCL injury he picked up against the Pelicans. It was reported that he could miss the action for around 4-6 months. While his recovery is going on, Durant is spending his time on video games.

Durant was having an incredible season with the Nets before getting injured and was even getting MVP shouts. However, that changed when he got injured. Right now, Durant can’t get to the court due to his injury. So he prefers to pass his time by playing video games.

Kevin Durant is an elite gamer and loves to play different video games such as the NBA 2K and Call of Duty. Durant loves to play basketball in video games as well and even organized a tournament in 2020. However, recently while playing against a 12-year-old, Durant tried to trash-talk but eventually lost the game.

Kevin Durant trash-talked with a 12-year-old while playing an online video game

Durant recently talked about playing video games on the latest episode of ‘The ETCs with Kevin Durant‘. During the podcast, Durant revealed that he tried to trash-talk with a 12-year-old but lost the game.

“I talked s**t to this 12-year-old on time. He was calling me so many. He was just… he was kicking my a**,” Kevin Durant said.

Kevin Durant once organized an NBA 2k tournament, which was even telecasted on ESPN as an event. During that online tournament, Durant was the first ranked amongst all the players participating. However, he eventually lost to 16th seeded Derrick Jones.

Not just playing, but Durant even has investments in the e-sports industry. The Brooklyn Nets star’s investment arm Thirty Five Ventures invested in Andbox, a New York-based e-sports firm.

“The passion that New York sports fans have has really hit home with me,” Durant, Thirty Five Ventures’ president, said. “Andbox is bringing that same energy to esports here, and that’s something Thirty Five Ventures is very excited to be a part of.”

Andbox is an e-sports firm that operates COD League’s New York Subliners, the Overwatch League’s NYXL, and the Andbox Valorant team.
