Kevin Durant is arguably one of the best scorers in NBA history. In fact, many will even say that he is the best player in the league today. That is because of the value he brings to a team. As part of the OKC Thunder, Durant made it to the Finals in 2012. However, he would join the Warriors where he won 2 back-to-back titles and final MVP awards. Since then, he has been the frontman of the Brooklyn Nets to win it all once again.

However, things have not gone smoothly this season for the Nets. The injury to KD and Kyrie’s home game unavailability has cost the team plenty of winning opportunities. Moreover, the stint with Harden did not work out, which led to him leaving the franchise.

However, the Nets got solid players in exchange for Harden. One of them is Ben Simmons. After the franchise’s latest win over the Hornets, KD, who is back in good health, spoke in support of Simmons and the possible harsh treatment he will receive from fans in the upcoming 76ers vs Nets matchup.

“It was a different situation because I got to play and shut the people up every time I hit a jump shot. And when we win it was good,” said KD.

Thereafter, he explained what Simmons, who will not play in the upcoming 76ers vs Nets game, would experience from 76ers fans, and supported him.

“But Ben doesn’t have that opportunity right now. He’s got to sit there and just take a bunch of people being childish,” explained KD.

“That’s the profession we in. Guy’s making 40 million dollars a year. You could take that for 48, for a couple of hours, you know, and I’m sure Ben has that approach,” he added.

Clearly, KD has got Simmons’ back. He realizes that the primary importance is the team’s success and knows that Simmons can help towards reaching that goal.

Moreover, both Harden and Simmons got the new change in scenery that they desired. So it really doesn’t matter what the fans say. Simmons now plays for the Brooklyn Nets and that’s where his focus should be. Winning the title is really the only thing that matters.
