Joel Embiid and the process works

Going up against the Grizzlies was never going to be an easy task for the Sixers. With the two giants going at it, it was a dogfight, to say the least. Tyrese Maxey once again saved the day for Philadelphia in the absence of Embiid. On the other hand, Ja Morant proved why he is an All-Star starter, and a serious candidate for the MVP this season.

Going to war without Embiid, the Sixers were in for a mammoth effort. And Maxey answered the call. He delivered a masterclass going off for 33 points, 8 assists, and 4 blocks. Tobias Harris was not far off either as he ended the game with 31 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 assists. Andre Drummond added a monster double, putting up 16 points and 23 rebounds. They improve to 31-19 for the season.

Ja Morant did not miss a beat as he put up yet another show-stopper performance. He sent the game to overtime while finishing the night with 37 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 assists. Sophomore guard, Desmond Bane, also had himself a night with 34 points, 7 rebounds, and 3 steals. Big man Jaren Jackson Jr. gave the Grizzlies 18 points and 7 rebounds. However, it wasn’t enough to seal the deal as free throws hurt them.
