The young players are shining through in the NBA. However, it is really important to have a mix of veterans as well. Their experience and leadership can make or break any team. Recently, veterans such as Isaiah Thomas and Joe Johnson made their return to the league. Baron Davis spoke about the impact and importance that experienced players have on a young team during the Golden State Warriors and Memphis Grizzlies matchup.

Former Warrior Baron Davis spoke about veterans making their return and how it is important for teams to have such players.
Veterans paving the way for Warriors?
With the health and safety protocols looming over teams, the former players are coming in on 10 day contracts. Their impact may not be much on the court, but Baron Davis believes their off-court impact can cause a huge change. He explained how their stories brings a hunger in young guys to win. Moreover, he wants the veterans to finish off their careers in the best way.

He said: “You know how it is when you get the vets. You on the bus, you living through them stories. That vet is talking about the playoffs or the championship they won. And it make the young dudes hungry. So you not hungry for the money, you hungry for what come with it you know what I mean.”

This particularly applies to Davis’ former team, the Golden State Warriors. The Bay has a great blend of veterans to go with the young players.
