When one talks about domination in basketball, the Chicago Bulls are right on top of the list. The team consisted of players like Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen, and Dennis Rodman among others. This core helped the team dominate an entire decade and establish itself as one of the greatest teams of all time.

Although the Bulls dominated the entire league, certain teams gave them a run for their money. One of them was the Detroit Pistons, led by Isiah Thomas. Thomas had one of the most intense rivalries with Michael Jordan that still goes till now.
Speaking on a podcast, Thomas explained how the Bulls took Dennis Rodman away from them. The acquisition of Rodman made the Bulls even greater as they went on to assemble a super team.

There is no doubt the Chicago Bulls are one of the greatest teams ever. Led by Michael Jordan, the team had an insane roster of talented players. Scottie Pippen and Jordan formed one of the best duos ever and Dennis Rodman did all the defensive and the dirty work.

Among all those who played for the Bulls, Rodman’s contribution to the team’s success is very underrated. Rodman spent most his career in the Detroit Pistons before making his move to Spurs. Two seasons later, he joined the best team of that time, the Chicago Bulls.
The leader of the Pistons was Isiah Thomas, the man who rivaled Jordan, gave his thoughts regarding the Bulls team. According to the Hall of Famer, they took most of the Pistons’ players while accusing them of being bad.
Thomas said, “Dennis Rodman was better than people think. When Dennis was with the Detroit Pistons, Dennis had to learn a lot of things about how to play. Now, Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls, they get Dennis Rodman. It was like, ‘Oh, the Detroit Pistons were bad’ but didn’t ya’ll go and get half our team.”
Rodman went on to become one of the greatest players for the Bulls franchise. He averaged 5.2 points, 15. rebounds and 2.8 assists during his 3 years in Chicago. Moreover, he won 3 consecutive NBA titles during his time in the Bulls.
