It’s no secret that Shaquille O’Neal is a party animal, aside from his dedication to his work he always looks forward to enjoying time with friends. Besides basketball, Shaq is well known for his other abilities such as singing, dancing, and even making videos for social media. 

His love for music can be easily explained as he has often been seen and concerts, and by the fact that he is a DJ himself, under the name DJ Diesel. While sharing crazy moments that he has experienced, he recently shared a story about getting into trouble during a concert. 

In a recent interview,  Shaquille O’Neal discussed how he got in a tough spot with his girlfriend over millionaire singer Janet Jackson. During the interview, he was asked whether he had dated the popular singer, to which he replied no and went on to share a story.

“I was with my girlfriend I actually got in trouble. I was with my girlfriend, she had a show in Orlando and she called me on stage.” As part of the interview, he discussed a wide range of topics. Including his NBA career, his business ventures, and what’s happening in the NBA recently, as well as some stories about him and his former teammate Kobe Bryant. 

In those days, who was Shaquille O’Neal dating?

During his concert visit, the situation became so chaotic that it affected his love life. This is not the first time the former NBA player has discussed it. During an episode of his own podcast, ‘The Big Podcast with Shaq’, he shared his experience and talked about his former girlfriend.

Shaq was dating Arnetta Yardbourgh at the time, with whom he has his oldest daughter Taahirah O’Neal. When asked about his relationship with the popular singer in the podcast, he shared the story.

“I don’t go to R’n’B concerts, that’s not what I do. She [Arnetta] was like take me to a Janet Jackson concert.” Shaq went on to mention, “I’m sitting there and a Spanish dude comes and tells me, ‘Hey man I work for Janet, she is calling you on stage.’”

Shaq continued to describe how the “uncomfortable dancing” took place on stage. Through all this, Shaq’s former girlfriend watched on.
