Stephen Curry took his rightful place in history, becoming the three-point king of the NBA. His skill to shoot the ball remains unmatched to this day. Moreover, the Baby Face Assassin is showing no signs of dialing down on his shooting excellence. Recently, Matt Barnes spoke about Curry’s shooting prowess and revealed that none of it is luck.

The Warriors with Kevin Durant and Stephen Curry were an unstoppable force. During their first two years together, the duo stayed on top of the league. They won two back-to-back championships and were on their way to becoming the players that they are today.

So when Matt Barnes spoke about the duo, he said they make no shots on luck. In particular, Barnes was referring to Stephen Curry.

Stephen Curry is all skill

Matt Barnes spoke with Draymond Green about Curry and his time with the Golden State Warriors. Green then asked Barnes when he knew Curry was special. Barnes then revealed that none of the shots Curry takes are luck because he saw him work on them.

He said: “I would watch the off balance, awkward body angle, one foot, leaning, left hand, right hand, all the s**t that they were working on. I’m thinking like any shot that these two guys are taking, but I am talking about Steph makes on the court is not luck. I can never say that Steph Curry made a lucky shot. You know, he works the odd angles, the awkward hand, the off the glass, the half court shots he shoots like they are f**king layups while we are warming up. So I again to answer your question, I saw originally as an opponent but it all made sense when I got to see him work day to day because he works his ass off.”

Barnes said before that he first saw the spark in Stephen Curry as an opponent. The Clippers and Warriors had a rivalry, and Curry would always show up. Barnes explained how no defensive setup worked for him and he just kept making wild shots. However, the main reason Curry can do that is his work behind the cameras.

He is an elite shooter because he works religiously on the shots he makes during the games. Hence, it is tough for other players to make shots Stephen Curry does.
