Currently, Stephen Curry is arguably one of the best players in the league. He is also an upcoming business mogul. When he is not creating magic on the court, he signs deals or helps the community grow. Curry’s schedule is packed. Having said that, he ensures to be present in the life of his children. This is when people realize that at the end of the day, the 4-time NBA champ is just a normal human being. And just like every concerned parent, the Warriors star worries about his children. In a recent interview, Curry opened up about the same.

Notably, Stephen Curry and his wife, Ayesha Curry, have three children. The two often post about their children on social media during family holidays and birthdays. The three kids can also be seen courtside cheering for the Warriors star. For a few seasons, the post-game conference included Curry bringing his daughters to the press room. However, all things considered, Curry and Ayesha aim to provide their children with a healthy and relatively normal childhood while they grow up with a spotlight constantly on them.

In an interview with the Charlotte Observer, Curry candidly spoke about his life, business, and basketball. While doing so, he opened up about the fears he holds as a father.

Curry, as a parent, wants his children to be comfortable with who they are. He wants them to be confident and authentic. Having said that, he claimed the world that his children and the younger generation are growing up in differs greatly from what he had experienced.

While feeling like an old head for saying this, Curry said, “I think that’s harder and harder for the younger generations now, to not get sucked into that world too soon.

Curry acknowledged that the spotlight is going to be on his children because of the surname they carry. With that said, he wants his children to realize that they are unique. He also wants them to be proud of themselves. He said, “They don’t have to live up to anything that the world tells them they have to.”
