Michael Jordan, along with being considered a legend in NBA, is also best known for his trash-talking. His skill set and charisma had no match, and neither did his vocal jabs. If one jotted down every time “His Airness” spewed smack at his opponents, they would wind up with a mountain of paper.

Several individuals fell victim to Jordan’s trash talking; however, one name stood out as a perennial on that list. Muggsy Bogues is the shortest player in the history of the league. However, that didn’t stop him from being a commanding presence on the court. In fact, the 5’3″ guard encountered Michael Jordan on several occasions throughout his career.

Bogues once featured on Matt Barnes’ and Stephen Jackson’s All The Smoke podcast, where he recounted some of his favorite MJ stories. He then revealed how the Bulls legend continues to mess with him to this day.

“MJ, He always liked to f**k with me. That’s just who we are,” Bogues said.

“When we come in contact, even of the court to this day, walking around, he will put his hand up high trying to get me to give a high-five and I will put my hand low, you come down a give me a low-five. So we just compete against one another,” he added.

Muggsy Bogues then dismissed the infamous encounter with Michael Jordan, which apparently ended the diminutive guard’s career.

Muggsy Bogues sheds light on his alleged infamous incident with Michael Jordan

It’s never monotonous to hear another Michael Jordan trash-talking incident. Jordan knocking down Bogues’ career with vocal blows was one such episode that had been the talk of the league for a spell.

Many claim Jordan ended Bogues’ career by telling him to shoot the ball during a pivotal moment in the 1995 playoffs. While this appears to be any other trash-talking episode, MJ apparently called him a mi**et in the process.

The rumor is that the sentence “Shoot It, You Fu****g Mi**et!” was enough to take the 5’3″ guard’s career downhill. However, after years of this story making waves, Bogues shot down the famed incident.

“You know M, man, especially when we are playing a game. It was some stuff on the internet where they said he called me a mi**et, which is not true. He always called Lil fella, Lil a** and that short stuff,” Bogues claimed.

There you have it! Arguably, the best trash-talking incident in the league’s history never took place. This seems to be another urban legend, like so many others. It’s fair to infer that it wasn’t Jordan’s verbal blows that sent Bogues’ career plummeting, but his subsequent injury-plagued career.
