While it takes a collective effort for any team to get their hands on the ultimate silverware, Draymond feels the Warriors’ dynasty has something to do with rapper Kendrick Lamar.

The Compton native has been around for a while and has garnered a massive fan base owing to his captivating flow. Now how does Kendrick Lamar fit into this picture? Interestingly, many feel he’s been the Golden State Warriors‘ winning recipe.

The team has captured the NBA championship each of the last four times he’s dropped an album. It’s not the most appealing winning formula, yet it has strangely yielded results for the franchise.

In 2015, the Warriors won their first title of the decade. In March of that year, Kendrick Lamar released “To Pimp A Butterfly.” They triumphed again in 2017, the year Lamar dropped “DAMN.” As one might expect, the good luck charm continued in 2018 with the Warriors repeating and Lamar?releasing “Black Panther: The Album.”

Like the Warriors, Kendrick Lamar was also on a break from captivating his fans for the 2 years that followed. Neither the Warriors lifted the NBA title nor did the rapper release any album.

This?year, however, the good luck charm demonstrated unmistakable signs of life. The hiatus for them and the suffering for their fan bases stopped when Lamar released “Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers,” while the Dubs clinched the NBA title.

With Lamar’s most recent album, and the Warriors returning to their winning ways, fans and Draymond Green hope this lucky charm remains effective for years to follow. The franchise and its fan base will be vying for a repeat. Hence many would be hoping Lamar releases another album in 2o23.

However, given that Lamar took such a long break before dropping “Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers,” fans might have to wait a few years before he drops another album.
