Brooklyn Nets had an incredible start to the season as they led the Eastern Conference table for a while. However, everything went downhill since Kevin Durant got injured. Since his injury, the Nets have lost 11 straight games, traded Harden for Simmons, and dropped to 8th in the conference table. However, Durant is recovering well and could return to the Barclays Center this Thursday.
The Nets have suffered long enough in the absence of Durant. In fact, the Nets roster changed in the last few weeks with Ben Simmons, Seth Curry, and Andre Drummond joining the Nets on the trade deadline. James Harden went the other way in the trade deal to the Sixers.

After being out for more than a month, Durant is finally set to make his comeback this Thursday. According to Brian Lewis, Durant is on the track to return to the Barclay Center this Thursday when the Nets host the Heat. Those were some crazy reactions to Durant’s return. Not just the fans, Nets head coach Steve Nash shared his excitement on Durant’s return ahead of the Celtics game on Sunday.
“He (Kevin Durant) won’t play tonight or tomorrow, but we’re hopeful it would be Thursday or Sunday. Kevin is getting closer, which is exciting,” Nash said.
While Durant’s return comes closer, there’s little or no update on Ben Simmons‘ Nets debut. The former Sixers star is working on his conditioning and is yet to play this season.
