LeBron James and Dre’s Beats

LeBron James was signed as the first band ambassador by Dr. Dre’s Beats Electronics back in 2008. In 2014, Beats was bought by Apple. Today the estimated value of the company is around $2.6 billion. According to LeBron’s former teammate, Larry Perkins, King James was a silent investor in Dre’s Beats. And when Dr. Dre got the buyout contract, LeBron received a staggering $700 million cut, which further adds to his billion-dollar fortune.

However, 14 years after LeBron’s legendary deal with Beats, his son Bronny James joined the same company as a brand ambassador. Bronny has been impressive in his performance on the court and is a legitimate NBA prospect. Therefore, it’s not surprising that Beats by Dre would be willing to sign a NIL deal with the budding star.
