He is so tall that few people can stand right next to him without having to look up to see the star forward. However, WNBA star Brittney Griner is tall enough that she once kissed KD effortlessly.

Athletes from both the NBA and WNBA traveled to Tokyo to represent the team USA at the Olympics in 2021. The star-studded men’s and women’s basketball teams were primed to dominate the tournament and exhibit America’s superiority in the sport. Both the squads eventually took home the gold medal.

Of course, the excitement of taking part in the Olympics and representing their nation was apparent. In addition, the US team looked like they were having the best time of their lives in Tokyo.

In fact, Kevin Durant pulled out his phone to document and show the world his time at the Olympics as he went live on Instagram. Interestingly, one of those live streams included KD receiving a kiss on the cheek from Brittney Griner.

Kevin Durant went live on Instagram. It was shortly before the commencement of the Olympic opening ceremony. The Brooklyn Nets player was capturing memories and stopping other athletes to say hi and introduce themselves.

Interestingly, he brought Brittney Griner into his live stream as well. “What’s good y’all!…That’s all I got,” the WNBA star said.

She reappeared in the frame a few seconds later. What happened next had everyone in stitches. The Phoenix Mercury player gave Kevin Durant a quick peck on the cheek through the face mask before vanishing from the frame once again. Other athletes in the background could be heard laughing as they witnessed this.

However, Durant himself had the most priceless reaction to the kiss he got. The quick kiss had KD stunned. He was noticeably annoyed until he realized it was the star center who kissed him.

Durant eventually found the whole sequence funny. “You’re lucky I love you girl” he said to the WNBA star. Fair to assume, as per KD’s statement, anyone else in Griner’s place would have probably been on the receiving end of his wrath.

The whole sequence was extremely funny and garnered an epic reaction from Kevin Durant. Several fans were also stunned over how it took no effort for Brittney Griner to kiss the seven-foot Kevin Durant.
