The Sacramento Kings have not had the start to their season they would have been hoping for. The Kings have won only four out of the 10 games they have played so far and are currently sitting 11th on the Western Conference table. However, four-time All-Star DeMarcus Cousins voiced his opinion on Twitter, as he made a statement of wishing to come back and help the Kings get back to the playoffs.

‘Boogie’ has had no connection with the Kings for the past five years but it seems he would love to help them get their first playoff appearance since the 2005/2006 season. Cousins is currently a free agent after signing for the Denver Nuggets mid-way through the 2021-22 season.

The former Denver Nuggets player is still without any team this season even after proving himself a solid backup for the Nuggets. DeMarcus Cousins provided a lot of experience when he came onto the court despite lacking consistent performances like in the past. Boogie averaged a score of 8.9 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 1.7 assists off the bench in a Nuggets jersey.

DeMarcus Cousins and his almost career-ending injuries

DeMarcus Cousins got traded from the Sacramento Kings to the New Orleans Pelicans midway through the 2017-18 season. In the Pelicans, he went on to show his class, but an injury took the limelight from him. He injured himself in January 2018 just before the final whistle of the game between the Rockets and the Kings. He got diagnosed with a torn left Achilles which ended his season.
