Representing the Grizzlies against the Lakers in Wednesday’s game, GG Jackson shared the court with none other than ‘King’ LeBron James. In a thrilling matchup that transcended generational boundaries, the youngest player of the league faced off against the oldest, sparking widespread buzz among NBA fans. With GG scoring 10 points and 4 rebounds for the Grizzlies, LeBron ended the night with his 4th triple-double of this season.

Adding to the matter, a recent Instagram post made a comparison between LeBron’s son, Bronny James, and GG, with comments pouring in from NBA enthusiasts. While the post read, “GG Jackson is two months younger than Bronny and just went toe to toe with LeBron”, not all fans were happy with this narrative. Evidently, when GG Jackson was born in December, 2004, James was already playing his second season in the league. His son Bronny was born in October 2004, two months earlier than the Grizzlies starlet.

Hinting at James’ clear hold over the game and in opposition to Jackson, one user wrote, “Idk about all that ‘toe to toe’.” Subsequently, another commenter was spotted drawing a comparison between the duo’s age and gap in entering the league as they exclaimed, “Damn, LeBron got in the league in 2003 and GG Jackson was born in 2004. That’s crazy.”

As the caption underscored his career differences with GG, one fan emphasized, “Bronny is a good basketball player. Completely different style than his dad, but a very smart, solid player. Had the setback with his heart condition, and is in an impossible situation; trying to live up to the name, but he’s a solid player. Hope he continues to develop and has a great career.”

Despite the widespread comparisons between his son Bronny and GG Jackson, LeBron’s interactions with the teen player showcased mutual respect. Closely following Jackson’s journey from his pre-NBA days, James also appreciated the Grizzlies player for his potential, hinting at his prospects in the next generation of basketball.
