Jimmy Buckets doesn’t seem to have had enough of a celebration after last night’s poker success. The Heat star headed home with a total amount of $200,000 after winning two pots in a tournament, ‘Legend of the Felt’ at LA. Hours after walking away rich, Butler decided to rub salt into Neymar Jr.’s injuries, who also was at the table. However, the soccer superstar hit him back with a response online. Jimmy Butler and Neymar weren’t the only stars at the event. They were joined by Ryan Garcia, Chris Eubank Jr., Dan Bilzerian, Ninja, and Jon Vlogs. The event had various highlight moments which were live telecasted worldwide via Hustler Casino.

However, one moment between Butler and Neymar left the fans on the edge of their seats. In a game, Jimmy set a bet for $5000 and the soccer superstar immediately raised it to $10,000. Unfazed by it, the NBA star followed it with a 3-bet. After making that move with a straight face, he said, “Come get you some,” to Neymar.

In response, he made a seemingly hasty move to go all in, leaving Butler to say, “I love you, my boy,” after he won it all with a full house. He made a $91,000 gain with that $174k win. He decided to remind Neymar of his misery by sharing the video clip on IG with a middle finger emoji in the caption.

However, Neymar took the IG post lightly as he replied to Butler in the comments, writing, “f*ck you,” with a flurry of laughing emojis.

It is undeniably a reflection of their strong friendship, which dates back a few years. Moreover, Neymar joined the game only because he was in town for Copa America. On the other hand, it hasn’t been a smooth sailing time for Jimmy in the offseason.

Jimmy Butler’s road ahead in the NBA

The Miami Heat star seemed unfazed by the noise from the NBA world. The 34-year-old has been celebrating his win with a train of stories on his IG stories. A couple of stories even revealed that he shared a small portion of the winning amount with the fans at the casino. Along with that, he reshared Neymar’s IG story, where the superstar stacked the winning amount into a pyramid. While JB’s celebration lasted for more than a day, he is yet to solve his stay at the Heat. The star has two more years left in the 3-year contract.

Despite that, Butler has asked for a two-year extension which will leave him 38 when the contract expires. If the Heat does not approve of this request, the star might look for a trade in the off-season, leaving the Heat’s future wide open. At the same time, if they agree to the request, Butler will be likely responsible for Heat’s added financial burden for the next four years. And considering the team’s performance in the 2024 post-season first round, it’s definitely a gamble.
