The car, built to fit O’Neal’s 7-foot-1 frame, was customized by California-based Effortless Motors. The company, which claims its transporter FirstLine Trucking’s system was hacked, is offering a $10,000 reward for any leads that could help recover the missing luxury ride.

Is Shai Gilgeous-Alexander yet another victim of burglary?

In February, authorities charged seven men accused of targeting high-profile athletes in a wave of robberies involving Bobby Portis of the Milwaukee Bucks and NFL stars Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce. After the arrests, the FBI revealed in an affidavit that multiple groups might be collaborating behind the scenes, weaving a larger and more organized criminal network than initially believed.

“However, though burglary groups may consist of four or five members, these separate groups often work in concert with one another, communicate with one another, and [use] the same buyers of stolen merchandise.”

Authorities are still investigating whether the break-in at Shai Gilgeous-Alexander’s residence stands alone or connects to a wider pattern of crimes. The Oklahoma City Thunder star has chosen silence for now, offering no public statement.
