With Minnesota hosting one of the season’s most crucial matches, the Timberwolves are pumped to play on the home ground a second time. Though their first two matches were underwhelming, the Wolves have since made a comeback in Game 3. The Thunder might have 68 wins to their name in the regular season. The Wolves will definitely be remembered for their 42-point win over OKC. Before the third game, Coach Finch said, “We have to avoid the five-minute meltdown.” And they need to keep the same spirit going into Game 4.
Minnesota knew they could not let the Thunder get another win over them. On the verge of losing the series, Anthony Edwards jumped the pace of his game, he recorded 30 points and 9 rebounds. However, that was not all, Finch caught the Thunder off guard with Shannon Jr. in the second quarter. The rookie posted 15 points in just 13 minutes, he said, “I always stayed ready for when my name was called. And I’ll be ready when it’s called again.” The Wolves’ bench has finally stepped up.
While one thing is certain, that the Wolves had an impressive game, the question remains whether they will be able to keep up this form. Well, Rudy Gobert, the Timberwolves guard, seems to be confident about his team. “We know who we are,” Gobert said, “so just be ourselves.” Keeping that in mind, Minnesota must be at its best for Game 4. And according to ESPN, the Wolves are fit to go. So, Rudy Gobert, and Jaden McDaniels both will be playing tonight with their entire bench.

On the other end, the Thunder, who had an underwhelming Game 3, are eager to make sure they get their two-game lead over the Wolves. Luckily for them, they, too, have no new injuries listed. This means that, other than Nikola Topic, everyone from the OKC locker room will be on the court tonight. With that, let’s find out how Coach Finch plans to get a second win.
Will the Timberwolves even with a second win?
The Wolves’ coach, Chris Finch, is determined to change their luck. Likewise, he made Julius Randle sit on the bench for the second time in the fourth quarter. However he claims it’s not because of a loss of confidence in Randle. “We spoke this morning. It really wasn’t his fault,” Finch explained. “We were down and we had to change the complexity on the floor.” As for Randle, he scored 24 points, a turnaround from his game 2 performance. However, the Minnesota center was seen smiling on the bench, so maybe it is all water under the bridge. Well, now let’s find out the starting lineups for the Wolves:
Point Guard | Shooting Guard | Small Forward | Power Forward | Center |
Mike Conley | Anthony Edwards | Jaden McDaniels | Julius Randle | Rudy Gobert |
Donte DiVincenzo | Nickeil Alexander-Walker | Terrence Shannon Jr. | Naz Reid | Luka Garza |
