Los Angeles Lakers cornerstone Luka Doncic has been in the spotlight in recent weeks, and not only because of his on-court performances. The Slovenian guard has been in red-hot form, coming off a 44-point performance against the Indiana Pacers, and will hope to replicate that against the New York Knicks. However, all of that can take a backseat for now, with all the rumors involving his fiancée, Anamaria Goltes.

Recently, in a heartwarming video published by the Lakers on International Women’s Day, the players were asked about their favorite female athletes. While a lot of them named USA tennis sensation Serena Williams, Doncic came up with a completely different answer.

He named two of his daughters as his favorite female athletes. It was an odd answer given his elder daughter Gabriela was born in 2023, while his younger daughter was born only in December 2025.

However, one could argue that he named his favorite women in his life after misunderstanding/mishearing the question. And with that, fans have started doubling down on his breakup rumors with fiancée Anamaria Goltes as he doesn’t name her in the video.

Recently, there have been a lot of rumors around a potential breakup between Doncic and Anamaria. Fans have started building stories and narratives based on Anamaria and the Lakers star’s social media activity.

There were murmurs about Doncic dating American actress Madelyn Cline, just because they follow each other on social media. Similarly, fans escalated talks after Anamaria removed the pinned post of Doncic proposing to her on her birthday, while also removing all the images of her with Doncic and deleting the ‘Love’ highlight involving the Lakers star.

She recently posted a carousel with her ‘throwback’ images, and none of them featured Doncic, which raised serious questions about trouble in paradise between the couple.

Lakers star Luka Doncic says, “Having Two Daughters Best In The World”

Luka Doncic has been an absolute superstar for the Lakers in his first full season. He is enjoying an MVP-level season and is also the scoring leader in the NBA. He has been pretty healthy, but missed a couple of games in December to be with his fiancée to welcome their second daughter, Olivia.

However, he returned to action for the Lakers while recording 31 points, 15 rebounds, and 11 assists, which helped them register their first win in Philadelphia in over eight years.

Following the win and a fantastic performance, Doncic expressed his emotions on becoming a father for the second time. “It’s the best thing in the world. Obviously, two girls they’re going to make my life hell, for sure. I know that. I’m going to be their security after I retire. All jokes aside, it’s the best thing in the world. I’m just blessed,” the Slovenian shared.

With rumors swirling around about his potential breakup with Anamaria Goltes, every step that Doncic takes on social media and in his personal life will be judged by the netizens. Also, being a Lakers star, he carries the extra burden of getting scrutinized at every step on and off the court.
