The Boston Celtics put up a great show during the Monday night game, taking down the lukewarm New York Knicks. Even though the Knicks tried to match up with the Celtics in the first half, the Celtics displayed their clinical finish in the second half, taking home a 98-114 victory. While the victory seemed to be a dominant one, the Knicks guard Josh Hart caught Jrue Holiday sleeping on the court with a highlight play.

Holiday has been a great inclusion to the side, filling the shoes of Marcus Smart. Before his trade to the Memphis Grizzlies, Smart was part of the Celtics Big-3, alongside Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown. Even though Holiday couldn’t complete replace Smart’s place, he definitely bring in his experience from Wisconsin.

Josh Hart disrespects Jrue Holiday with a trick move

Jrue Holiday registered a decent performance on Monday night, dropping 14 points with 7 rebounds and 2 assists. Other than that, he stuck to his strengths and played according to his role. However, he got caught up on Knicks guard Josh Hart’s radar. He pulled off a trick move to disrespect Holiday and dropped a three pointer behind his back.

During the second half of the game, where the Knicks were chasing the Celtics, the NY side had the compulsion to score quick buckets. When Jalen Bruson passed the ball to Hart, Holiday stepped up to guard him.

Immediately, Hart deceived Holiday with a pump fake pass. When Holiday reacted to a fake pass, Hart threw the ball on the Celtics guard’s back, collected it back, and scored an easy 3-pointer.

The Celtics produce a clinical win over the Knicks

Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum led the team’s offense, dropping 35 and 22 points. Apart from them, Center Kristaps Porzingis took up the role of the third offense option with 21 points along with 6 rebounds and 3 assists. Interestingly, the Celtics played with only three bench players, dropping only 19 points. This isn’t the first time where coach Joe Mazzulla pulled off an uncanny strategy. In the last game, he didn’t bring in his bench players despite having a blowout lead in the final minutes of the game.
