Wedding season in the NBA continues. After Donovan Mitchell married Coco Jones and Tyrese Haliburton tied the knot with Jade Jones, it was Karl-Anthony Towns’ turn. Eight months after going down on one knee, Towns married his longtime partner, Jordyn Woods, beneath a picturesque flower-covered arch overlooking the ocean in Malibu, Cal. KAT’s New York Knicks teammates were also there to watch him add a wedding band to his ring collection this summer.

Photos from the wedding featured OG Anunoby, Jose Alvarado, Jalen and his wife Ali Brunson, Josh and his wife Shannon Hart, Deuce McBride and former teammate Trey Jemison. NY superfans Ben Stiller and Timothée Chalamet, who were present courtside during the NBA Finals, also attended the wedding.

In one of Chalamet’s Instagram posts from May, fans couldn’t help but feel giddy as the actor posted a picture of his pal Towns whispering something in his ear after New York’s 137-98 win over Philly!

Jordyn’s longtime friend Kylie Jenner was also in attendance for her big day. In fact, she wasn’t alone, as other A-list guests included Justin and Hailey Bieber, actors Ben Stiller and Christine Taylor, Teyana Taylor, Michael B. Jordan, Jada Pinkett Smith, and her kids Jaden and Willow, and Keegan-Michael Key, among others.

The bride walked down the aisle in a chic strapless wedding dress with a sweetheart neckline, fitted bodice, and draped, floor-sweeping silky skirt, according to Page Six. Woods also wore a lace scarf around her neck, giving a retro Hollywood feel. Alongside her lace-trimmed veil, Towns’ wife wore shiny earrings and carried a bouquet made of cascading calla lilies.

Towns, on the other hand, wore a classic black tuxedo. Interestingly, all of the guests, including the star-studded celebrity lineup, complemented the groom by wearing special black attire as well. But the dress code wasn’t limited to that.

During the after-party, Teyana Taylor was seen wearing one of the custom “Married in 5” hoodies while carrying Fanatics goodie bags. It appeared to be a playful tribute to the Knicks beating the Spurs in Game 5 of the NBA Finals.

While photos from the wedding are still coming out, Woods’ family friend and business partner, Adam Weitsman, shared some more pictures on Instagram. It featured him and Woods’ mother, Elizabeth, with the caption, “Came to California to celebrate and attend the wedding of the best couple I know @karltowns and @jordynwoods,” alongside a Malibu geolocation tag.

Karl-Anthony Towns and Jordyn were longtime friends before they began dating in 2020. Around a year after their relationship began, Woods admitted that it’s “kind of cool dating your best friend.”

“We know each other’s hearts, we know each other on good days and bad days, and we’ve been through a lot of bad days together,” Woods said on her Instagram series, Regular-ish.

The power couple further explained in interviews that the pandemic and difficult personal situations brought them closer. Towns lost his mother, Jacqueline, to COVID-19 complications only three years after Woods lost her father, Josh, to an aggressive cancer in 2017.

“My woman has held me down more than the world knows,” Towns wrote in 2021.

Woods also turned into a regular courtside presence at Towns’ NBA games. That has continued across his stints with the Minnesota Timberwolves and the New York Knicks. The two of them have remained each other’s support system no matter what.

“Friendship and trust,” Woods told PEOPLE in November 2023. “We were really good friends before we started dating, and COVID gave us that free time in our life to really get to know each other, because a lot of people don’t really get to know each other and they go into this relationship.

“So, we’ve been through a lot together. We’ve seen each other in all different ways, times, phases, so I think we have a very strong foundation.”

It was towards the end of 2025 when the couple announced they had taken their relationship to the next level. Towns proposed with a spectacular ring and background setup, but one factor turned out to be a massive coincidence.

Although they announced their engagement publicly on Christmas Day in 2025, Karl-Anthony Towns actually popped the question on Christmas Eve at Overstory, a cocktail bar in NYC. A group of close friends and family were there for the proposal.

Woods said yes, posting a punny caption, “Marry Christmas 🎄❤️💍,” while photos featuring the emerald-cut diamond ring in the romantic rooftop proposal broke the internet.

Woods, however, revealed that Towns popped the question on the exact same day her dad proposed!

“In a way we still got to honor his memory,” Woods said.

The engagement ring also had a hidden detail. Towns honored both their parents by embedding their birthstones inside the band. Woods emotionally called it “symbolic of our family becoming one.”

Eight months later, they tied the knot.

Congratulations, Karl-Anthony and Jordyn.
