Indeed, the pair seems to have finally engaged, though this isn’t the first time rumors of engagement have been sparked. Back in October last year, Woods was seen with an attention-grabbing ring on her Instagram, with many fans assuming that the two had become engaged, but the rumors were unfounded.

The engagement took place at Overstory in New York, a high-end bar on the 64th floor of 70 Pine Street, featuring a wraparound terrace that offers 360-degree views of the city. All of Woods and Towns’ pictures were from the terrace.

The announcement followed immediately after the Knicks beat the Cleveland Cavaliers at Madison Square Garden 126-124, so it is possible that the proposal happened after Towns traveled back from the game. On court, he logged 11 points and 14 rebounds, helping the team mount a 17-point fourth-quarter comeback.

Woods has quickly adjusted to life in New York after Towns was traded by the Minnesota Timberwolves in September 2024. The couple has been spotted at New York Yankees games, and were even spotted posing with New York Giants quarterback Russell Wilson and his wife, Ciara, right before tonight’s game.

Inside the Relationship Between Karl-Anthony Towns and Jordyn Woods

Karl-Anthony Towns and Jordyn Woods started dating in 2020 after having known each other for a long time, bonding over the shared experience of losing a parent: Woods’ father passed from cancer, while Towns’ mother passed from COVID-19.

The couple became well-known over the years for being some of the most supportive partners of each other’s careers. The Knicks center spoke about the way their relationship progressed on Woods’ 2021 series Regular-ish, explaining that their friendship took a turn during COVID, forcing them to “pick where our relationship was going to go.” On the same show, Woods explained:

“We know each other. We know each other’s hearts. We know each other on good days and bad days and we’ve been through a lot of bad days together.”

The couple also made headlines just a few weeks ago, when Woods gifted Towns a refurbished version of his mom’s car on his 30th birthday in November. According to Woods, Towns told her that he “really loved my mom’s car she had when I was a kid,” prompting her to undertake the heartfelt gesture.

“I went on a mission these past months to find the car,” she wrote on Instagram. “shipped it across the country, got it fixed up, and was able to surprise him with it today for his 30th!”‘

We wish the couple the best of luck going forward.
