Klay Thompson, the 4x NBA champion, is a spectacle to behold when he is on the basketball court. But not so much when the field is changed. The Golden State Warriors All-star player is still a rookie on the golf course. Following the footsteps of his other Splash Brother, Stephen Curry, Thompson undertook the task of getting better at it.?

In an episode of Podcast P with Paul George, Klay Thompson opens up about how different these two games really are. According to him, basketball is all about getting it back and playing harder defense if you?re losing. But golf is very different and extremely humbling.?

Thompson is good at a lot of things. Golf isn’t one of them.

Besides Steph Curry, the league has distinguished golfers like Ray Allen, Aaron Nesmith, and Kyle Korver. And Klay Thompson is definitely not on this list.

When asked about his golfing history, Thompson said, ?I grew up playing a little bit like I?ll go to the Uni in Oregon?I would hit a house once in a while?would run, you know??

Golfing is all about taking a breather

To Thompson, golf is a beautiful game. Basketball?s got passion while golf is delicate. The NBA star confesses, ?It humbles you.? However, Thompson is a solo-flyer when it comes to playing golf and hates company, especially that of Draymond Green. Thompson said, ?You gotta take a deep breath?that?s why Draymond was pissing me off ?this isn?t basketball, bro.?

Thompson definitely didn?t appreciate Green?s aggression on the golf course. Green kept yapping about how the Splash Brother needed to pick up his game. A frustrated Thompson replied, ?Stop trolling me like that?this is so f*****g hard?give me some encouragement, bro??

The host of the pod, Paul George, concurred here. He said golf can drag you into a loop of one bad shoot after another. Hence, bad golfing can be a very slippery slope. But according to Thompson, ?It just takes one shot to bring you back.??
