Things took a wild turn in Denver towards the end of the regular season. The Nuggets ownership fired both their GM, Calvin Booth, and head coach Michael Malone—a shocker heading into the playoffs.. And now, interim coach David Adelman leads Denver into the postseason. But for stars like Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray, there’s no time to worry about who’s on the bench. It’s win-or-go-home time.

That’s because they’re going up against the LA Clippers in the first round of the 2025 NBA Playoffs. And if we know anything about them, it’s that a team with a healthy Kawhi Leonard and James Harden is not going down easily. So, let’s dive into the Nuggets’ injury report and see where the Nuggets are at.

Denver Nuggets Injury Report – Will Jamal Murray play against the LA Clippers?

Down the stretch, Jamal Murray was nursing a nagging hamstring injury — bad enough that former coach Michael Malone wasn’t sure if he’d be ready for the playoffs. At the time, Malone said he “hoped” Murray would make it back in time. Well, fast forward to now — Murray’s good to go. He returned for the final two games of the season and helped Denver close things out with back-to-back wins.

The Nuggets are nearly at full strength. The only player listed on their injury report is rookie DaRon Holmes II, who remains out with a torn right Achilles. And it doesn’t seem likely that Holmes will return this season, regardless of how far the Nuggets go in the Playoffs.

Meanwhile, the Clippers are also injury-free. Even Kawhi Leonard is active and available tonight. That’s right — we’re heading into this series with both teams at full firepower.

A dearth of injuries on both sides means that both coaches are spoilt for choice heading into this playoff series. But since we’re here to talk about the Nuggets, let’s see who might play against the Clippers tonight.

What’s your perspective on:

Can Jokic and Murray outshine Kawhi and Harden, or will the Clippers crush the Nuggets' dreams?

Denver Nuggets vs LA Clippers – predicted starting lineup and depth chart

With DaRon Holmes being out for the entire season for the Nuggets, their roster is virtually entirely healthy. With Holmes sidelined, the Nuggets’ rotation is basically intact. Coach Adelman has a full deck to play with tonight, and here’s how we expect Denver to line up against LA:

Now, just because the Nuggets squad is healthy doesn’t mean this series will be easy for them. Yes, they have the Joker and Murray. But the Clippers have James Harden and Kawhi Leonard among their ranks. And those two seem to be clicking at the worst possible time for the Nuggets. With Leonard’s two-way dominance and Harden’s offensive brilliance, Jokic and Murray will need to fight like never before to make sure they come away with a W in game 1.

That said, if anyone can do it, it’s the pairing of Murray and Jokic. They swept the Lakers two years in a row. A 4-0 sweep in the 2023 Western Conference Finals and a 4-1 gentleman’s sweep in the first round last year. Both times, they played the duo of LeBron James and Anthony Davis. So, guess what? Jokic and Murray know how to dispose of star duos.

At any rate, all this means is that game 1 between the Clippers and the Nuggets will answer a lot of questions we have. And we can barely wait for tip-off!
