While LeBron James’ NBA future continues to be in the limelight, his son’s personal life has suddenly become a topic of discussion. Bronny James and his longtime girlfriend, Parker Whitfield, have been well-known publicly. But social media was filled with posts that hinted that the Lakers star’s girlfriend was pregnant.

The pair, who first met in high school, made their relationship public in 2024 and have reportedly been together for several years. The parody NBA account @TheNBACentel posted an image of a man striking a resemblance to the 21-year-old Bronny and a woman viewing a sonogram. In fact, the caption deliberately was “Bronny 👀👀”, baiting followers into believing LeBron James’ son is expecting a child. But that’s not the case.
The photo actually shows college football player Madox Sekyere and partner Karsyn announcing their own pregnancy with the caption, “Not our timing but the Lords… Baby coming Dec ‘26.”
Centel borrowed the image, stripped the context, and let the internet do the rest- the post pulled 3.5 million views before anyone traced it back to its real source.
And this is where the story stops looking like a one-off mix-up and starts looking like a pattern.
This is similar to debunked late-2025 rumors that Bronny’s girlfriend, Parker Whitfield, was pregnant, which her father publicly denied.

The claim that she’s pregnant gained enough traction to register as a genuine Google Trends “breakout” query, surging alongside searches like “bronny instagram,” “bronny gf,” and “bronny james child”, a sign this wasn’t some fringe post but a real spike in public interest.
@TheNBACentel openly labels itself a parody account, yet it has built a track record of fabricating Bronny James stories convincing enough to fool fans, broadcasters, and even NBA players.
In October 2024, it falsely claimed LeBron had deleted an old tweet praising a young Bronny- the post had never moved. In June 2025, it invented a report that Bronny had turned down a three-year, $45 million Lakers extension, forcing Bronny to respond directly online and call the story “disrespectful.”
The account has also faked quotes about Bronny snubbing All-Star voting, taking a pay cut, and trash-talking opponents- fabrications brazen enough that Kevin Durant has publicly called the account out more than once.
The rumor began on December 3, 2025, when several low-credibility Instagram and Facebook pages posted fake “breaking news” graphics suggesting Parker was experiencing “early pregnancy symptoms.”
They played on the caption, which stated, “Rumors have started circulating that Bronny James’ girlfriend may be experiencing early pregnancy symptoms, such as nausea and vomiting, according to reports. The James family has not released any statement regarding the situation. If the news turns out to be true, LeBron James could become the first active NBA player in history to play in the league as both a father and a grandfather at the same time.”
So, playing on LeBron James’ age and the novelty of a father-grandfather scenario. Hooking people with breaking news culture, it was all done for views. But importantly, no mainstream outlet- not ESPN, TMZ, People, The Athletic, or the LA Times- has reported anything on this.
Bronny James’ girlfriend’s father snapped at previous rumors
The pair were spotted together for the first time at the Paris Olympics. Since then, even Parker Whitfield’s family has spoken positively about Bronny. Her mother, Salli Richardson, is quite well known for her work in iconic movies, and her father, Dondré T. Whitfield, is a three-time Emmy nominee. As public figures, they know the trials and tribulations of dealing with rumors.
When an Instagram post by ‘TrendingSportPod’ claimed that his daughter was pregnant, the 56-year-old actor furiously commented, “What dumb a– believes this???”
It’s about as close to an on-record denial as this story is going to get.
Neither Bronny nor LeBron has commented on either wave of the rumor. Given how often versions of this story have already circulated, that silence reads less like evasion than a family that’s stopped reacting to a hoax it’s seen before.
So: is Bronny James’ girlfriend pregnant? No. The photo belongs to someone else’s announcement. The account that posted it has a documented history of doing exactly this. And the specific claim has already been fabricated, spread, and denied once before.
