This weekend’s ARCA Menards race at Phoenix left a lot of jaws dropped. Because amidst what the fans called a “chicken s**t” move directed toward Toni Breidinger, someone innocent was caught up and ended up in the hospital. Unfortunately, it was so bad that the 58-year-old D.L. Wilson had to be checked for a concussion. But there is some light at the end of the tunnel.

After Leland Honeyman and Toni Breidinger got caught up in the turn 3 wall, Christian Rose and D.L. Wilson, unfortunately, got tangled up in the wreck-fest, too. However, things got way worse for Wilson in particular who had to be rushed to the hospital with multiple injuries.

Fortunately, some good news was announced the next day.

D.L. Wilson is in safe hands

These are the kind of cases that make the fans realize the actual danger a driver goes through every race. And how easily things can go south just makes a lot of people reconsider if it’s even worth it. Fortunately, in the case of D.L. Wilson, we now know that he’s in great hands.

Fast Track Racing Enterprise reported Wilson’s health on Facebook, mentioning that he is in good spirits with his wife by his side.

Later on, an ARCA crew member revealed on Twitter that though Wilson had suffered three broken ribs, concussion, and heart bruising, he will make a full recovery.

Fans are relieved as there is finally some good news

The crash left everyone shocked and worried, especially seeing a driver in a state where he had to be dragged out of his car and rushed to the medical center. And plenty of them had some harsh words for Honeyman for obvious reasons.

After getting updates on Wilson’s health, fans were relieved that he will be able to make a full recovery and sent their prayers.
