Does Kyle Busch even remember he used to be ‘Rowdy’? What does he think of his 2009 self—the one that smashed his trophy (read: A Sam Bass-designed Les Paul guitar) into pieces, after winning the Federated Auto Parts 300 at Nashville Superspeedway? Year by year, bit by bit, the world has seen the once-temperamental driver tame himself to fit the standards NASCAR is often used to. It was amply evident when, in 2011, after winning the Camping World Truck Series race at the same venue, he quietly handed the guitar to his crew members and wished viewers a Happy Easter. But what changed?
To understand Busch’s calmer, more respectful side—with, of course, specks of his older personality shining through like we saw last year vs Ricky Stenhouse Jr—we’ll need to peek deeper into his personal life. Turns out it was an amalgamation of the then-Joe Gibbs Racing driver finding his inner self and “[living] by the book”. In an interview with ESPN’s Marty Smith back in ’11, the latter clarified, “The book being the Bible?” to which Busch nodded in agreement. “So is that part of the evolution of Kyle Busch – finding God?” the reporter had further asked.
“Well, I mean a little bit. You know, that’s part of it. When you live your life and you don’t really pay attention to how you’re living your life, it can really impact you, versus the other way,” the veteran had said warily, not wanting to disclose much information. Now, cut to 2025, and it seems the Richard Childress Racing driver is not one to shy away from his faith anymore. In fact, with a beautiful family by his side, the Busch household has been exploring their faith in quite a different way. How do we know? Well, while Busch’s Instagram is usually a carefully curated grid of professional photos, his wife Samantha doesn’t shy away from sharing a thing or two!

Samantha’s journey with spirituality had also been a conflicted path (which we’ll talk about a bit later) until she finally found what suited her right. And now? She’s savoring every bit of it. At least, her Easter celebration says so. On April 20, the mother of two shared a family photo on her official Instagram profile, donning a pink peplum dress highlighted with yellow flowers, a complete holiday vibe. “He is not here; He is risen, just as He said 🙌 Grateful to attend a beautiful service with my family to hear just how much our God loves us. @elevationlkn @elevationchurch,” read the caption.
Notably, the first lady of the Busch House has often talked about how her faith was often shaken growing up. In a IG update in December last year, she had revealed, “I grew up Catholic and especially as a kid did my best to stay awake during mass.” Thankfully, the 38-year-old made a discovery or rather found the people who would change her life for the better. In the same update we mentioned earlier, Samantha shared a video where she was seen singing a prayer song along with others in an auditorium, breezy and decorated with lights. The background offered light music that created a peaceful ambience. It was Elevation Church’s Lake Norman chapter at 8325 Copley Drive in North Carolina.
Samantha reflected on her experience and wrote, “I am so happy to have found a church that fits my worship style especially that they play the music loud so I can belt out the words with my awful singing voice.“ Her words expressed a joy and a deep connection with her faith, something she had longed for all this time.
Samatha openly accepted her difficulty connecting with the old Catholic rituals, but she never missed the Holiday celebrations. Like this year’s Easter celebration, last December, she shared a sneak peek of cooking traditional Christmas sauce in her IG story. “Annual Christmas Eve sauce begins,” she captioned it. Samantha also attended a festive family dinner and shared an adorable photo with the caption, “Dinner at Angus Barn—three years in the making, and it was absolutely worth the wait!😍🥩The food, the atmosphere, everything lived up to the hype. If you’re looking for a festive spot, definitely add this to your Christmas bucket list!🎄”

Well, speaking about the Easter celebration, apart from the Buschs, there was one driver who completely stole the show.

Gregg Biffle drops the biggest Easter surprise gift
The veteran NASCAR driver certainly knows the best use of his personal helicopter. After his relief operation in the aftermath of Hurricane Helen, Biffle is now spreading joy from the sky on Easter. The 55-year-old delivered thousands of Easter eggs to children in Black Mountain, North Carolina. One of Biffle’s friends was dressed as an Easter Rabbit and dropped over 1000 egg chocolates for children to find.
The entire event was captured on video, and Biffle shared it on his YouTube channel. “This Easter Saturday, we took things to the next level – literally. We suited up as Easter Bunny and took to the skies in a helicopter to drop thousands of Easter eggs on a field full of excited kids and families all supporting Valley Hope Foundation.” He wrote this in the video description.

The non-profit organization – Valley Hope, is working to rebuild both lives and hope around the areas affected in North Carolina by Hurricane Helene. It is indeed inspiring to see Biffle take part in an initiative that allows people to recover from the personal losses they suffered during the tough times. And, it won’t be a surprise he takes out his helicopter out again for another noble cause.
