ONE Championship recently released a sort of promotional video for Adiwang vs. Brooks on their official YouTube channel. The video is a highlight of the beef stirring up between the two.
As Brooks poked fun at Adiwang’s hairdo, what began out as a friendly rivalry grew personal. The American fighter’s comments on the Filipino fighter’s mullet, a trademark of his MMA gym Team Lakay Wushu, were first made on social media.
On one of Adiwang’s social media posts, Brooks commented – “I want the mullet off Lito… no disrespect just it’s not the 80s anymore. I want to know tho, can I cut it?”
In the video, in response to Brooks’ comments, Adiwang said – “I got fed up about it because he commented on my account that after he beat me, he’ll cut my hair.”

In the same video, the Team Lakay fighter said – “I want to finish Jarred Brooks in a highlight-reel fashion.”
Meanwhile, the American fighter said – “I have the utmost confidence that I can beat Lito Adiwang and the top five.”
“It’s gonna be a tough outing for you if it gets on the ground.” – Brooks later added, to which Adiwang remained unfazed.
