There he gave two options to an 8-year-old kid named Mason – 1000 Pounds or a mystery baseball. Mason revealed that he loved baseball and the Phillies, so he chose the ball. Later it was revealed that the young kid and his family were invited to watch the London Series game and meet Phillies stars due to his choice.

In an extremely wholesome moment, Mason visited the BP of the Phillies stars. “Hello, Trea Turner!” he said in a gentlemanly way that immediately melted the hearts of nearly every fan who watched the clip. The 8-year-old had shared previously that he dreams of being a baseball player when he grows up. However, how he fell in love with baseball was a bittersweet tale.

Mason opened up that he was introduced to baseball when he was 5. However, during that same time, he was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. The young Phillies fan found an escape through baseball and eventually completely fell in love with the sport. How did it impact the baseball world? One can guess by seeing that it has close to 2 million views in less than 9 hours of its posting.

From Mason to soccer celebrations – How the Philadelphia Phillies made London fun

Apart from great baseball, the Londo Series also had some extremely memorable moments. From players visiting iconic places in London to Bryce Harper’s on-field antics, this series had it all. However, apart from Mason’s adorable moment, the one incident that caught every fan’s attention was Bryce Harper’s soccer slide.

After hitting a game-tying homer, Bryce Harper decided to play to the crowd. Before coming to the field Harper had watched a few soccer games and noticed how its players celebrated after each goal. So, to recreate those moments and have some fun with the fans, Harper decided to slide towards the dugout after his home run. “I love Soccer!” Harper yelled after that absurd but hilarious celebration.

However, now with Mason’s adorable story here – Bryce Harper might have slipped to second place. Though surely, he won’t mind, after all, who doesn’t love a gentleman like this young Phillies fan?
