Notably, at the 19th annual Louisville Slugger Museum & Factory auction, Babe Ruth’s baseball glove received a colossal $1.53million worth bag of money.

Ruth had personally donated this glove to St. Louis Brown’s third baseman, Jimmy Austin. While giving a statement to Hunt Auctions’ Susan Kolokoff, niece of Jimmy Austin, Ruth said, “The glove had rested in a box for the last 30 years until we learned of its history and heard the amazing audio recording.”?Susan referred to the audio recording that involved Austin talking about the material and quality of the glove’s leather.

Following this deal, for 86 whole years, the Red Sox failed to win a single World Series. And this phenomenon was called the “Curse of the Bambino,” which came to an end only in 2004. Notably, the Red Sox ended their 86-year title drought and won the prestigious title in 2004.
