The MLB All-Star voting race is heating up! And for Francisco Lindor, things are finally falling into place. The New York Mets shortstop is currently leading all National League shortstops in votes. He has over 1.64 million votes and counting, and he is on track to get something he never did before as a Met—an All-Star game start.
Ever since he arrived with the New York Mets in 2021, he has been a steady force. A four-time All-Star during his days in Cleveland, he never got that starting nod while wearing orange and blue. However, this season, there is a change in the air.
This season, Lindor’s numbers are impossible to ignore—16 home runs, 13 stolen bases, and a 133 OPS+. He has been electric! And while he has support and votes from his fans, his biggest cheerleader is none other than his wife and family.

On Instagram, for example, Lindor’s wife, Katia, posted a heartfelt reminder: “Keep those votes coming! You can vote 5x a day until the 26th of this month. Let’s support our own 🧡💙.” Not something flashy and long or emotional, just Katia being herself—a rock for her husband. Through thick and thin, she has been there for Lindor. She is often spotted at games with their daughters, Kalina Zoé and Amapola Chloé, all of them cheering from the stands.

Recently, the couple even welcomed their son Koa into the family picture. Meanwhile, Francisco Lindor has widened his lead over the Los Angeles Dodgers’ Mookie Betts. He jumped from a 422,000-vote advantage to over 429,000. Now that Phase 1 of the voting ends soon, maybe with a little more help from the fans and a few more stories, Lindor might finally hear his name being called as a starting shortstop!
Now, coming to the National League voting, Pete Alonso is trailing Freddie Freeman by around 500,000 votes at first base. Juan Soto now ranks fifth among the NL outfielders with 1,048,781 votes. And on the American League side, Aaron Judge and Shohei Ohtani are leading the pack. Meanwhile, Yankees’ Paul Goldschmidt is also hanging close in the race at first base, trailing behind Vladimir Guerrero Jr. by about 70,000 votes. And as the all-star voting frenzy continues, Boston fans have a few reasons to keep their fingers clicking!

Boston Red Sox stars hustle for All-Star votes
As per the latest MLB All-Star Game voting, there is one Boston Red Sox name that is barely hanging on to the sweet spot. And it’s none other than Alex Bregman, who, despite being sidelined due to a quad injury, is sitting in second place at his position with 397,581 votes. He is chasing Jose Ramirez, who is way ahead with around 968,754 votes. Now, even though Bregman is on the outs, word is that he is locked in on his recovery and has a return date circled. So he might be back in action and the all-star lineup.
Meanwhile, the Boston Red Sox outfielder has some serious ground to make up. Jarren Duran has 243,698 votes, and Wilyer Abreu trails with 169,345. And they are chasing a crowd that is stacked up like Aaron Judge, who has an eye-watering 1.56 million votes. Then there are others on the line like Riley Greene, Mike Trout, Steven Kwan, Javier Baez, and Cody Bellinger.
Even catcher Carlos Narvaez is hanging in there. However, he is down the list at ninth among all AL backstops with 111,796 votes. So he definitely needs help from his fans there. Now in the National League, former Sox stars like Mookie Betts and Rafael Devers are both in second at their positions. Talk about what could have been a story!
