The love of a mother is an irreplaceable feeling. This is the same for anybody, regardless of their occupation or where they’re from. Most recently, Mother’s Day unearthed a precious childhood moment of Los Angeles Angels star Shohei Ohtani. This adorable moment has left baseball fans happy as they see a previously unseen side of the Two-way phenom.

Ohtani is generally private about his family life and prefers to focus on baseball. But a new side of the Angels’ star from his childhood has now resurfaced. This has left fans excited and clamoring for more. 

A rare photo of Shohei Ohtani with his mother has resurfaced on Mother’s Day

Mother’s Day is a time to honor and thank our mothers while cherishing all that they have given us over the years. Most recently, a picture of Shohei Ohtani during his childhood has resurfaced. MLB shared a picture of a young Shotime with his mother on Twitter in honor of Mother’s Day.

According to what appears to be a date at the bottom of the picture, it is from 1999. This would be when Ohtani was around 4 or 5 years old. Fans have reacted to the precious moment and expressed their delight.

In a Tweet, MLB said, “A young Shohei Ohtani with his mom! #MothersDay”. The picture allowed fans to see a new side of the Angels’ star as he generally keeps his family life away from the spotlight.

Other fans said that Ohtani has not changed at all. 

Despite the fact that not much is known about his upbringing, the truth is that it helped him achieve greatness. In high school, he clearly listed out all of his goals and dreams. Furthermore, he has earnestly set out to achieve them, one at a time.

But according to his father, the two-way phenom had a dangerous trait during his childhood.

The Angels’ star was very active during his childhood

In a 2017 interview, Toru Ohtani revealed many details about his youngest son, Shohei Ohtani. One thing that he talked about was that Shohei was very active during his childhood. The two-way phenom would boldly try out different activities and playground equipment that he was interested in.

But this was also a dangerous thing because if his father took his eye off of him for even a moment, an accident might happen.  Luckily Shohei was able to avoid any serious danger and grew up to be a successful MLB star.
