The Red Sox catcher made no delay in addressing the bunt and caught it for the first out. He threw Stanton out on first before he had a chance to make it back to base. The Yankees were already down four runs to the Red Sox while this disastrous bunt attempt unfolded.
In a season of underperformance and injuries, such blunders are the last thing the team needs on the field. Needless to say, Bronx fans once again expressed dismay over this team.

The Bronx Bombers have been on a losing streak this season, with significantly more losses than wins. Languishing at the bottom of AL East, it’s one of the worst seasons in franchise history. It’s proof that things are just not working right now in New York. Fans have been more than disappointed.
