While bringing something new every time, Major League Baseball’s new season has now been here for over a month. MLB’s 2023 season is back with double header games in Mexico City this weekend to provide you with the entertainment for being the deserving loyal fans. Yes! MLB had already started its sixth Mexico City series between the San Diego Padres and the San Francisco Giants at the Alfredo Harp Helú Stadium. Notably, after a fun-filled, entertaining game between the two NL teams, Padres took the win by 16-11.

Needless to say, the Padres were bound to celebrate this big win. However, little did they know that their celebration of this victory would soon become viral, especially among the fans of the iconic Disney character, Buzz Lightyear.

How did Buzz Lightyear become the part of San Diego Padres win celebration?

San Diego Padres’ official Twitter handle posted a video of all the athletes dancing around and cheering. Meanwhile, their designated hitter, Nelson Cruz, almost obliterates a pinata, looking like none other than the famous Buzz Lightyear.

As the 42-year-old athlete swung to hit Buzz in the face, players on the team dressed up in their special jerseys and masks basked in happiness. And after Lightyear could not bear any more beating and fell down, Fernando Tatis Jr. wrestled a bit with him and showed some impressive dance moves.
