The news from an MLB insider is probably changing the game and it has got the fans screaming.
During a podcast, Jon Heyman said that Guerrero Jr might stay with the Blue Jays. “I kinda believe that he may end up going back to the Jays.” He knows that during a time when the player and the management are not even looking eye to eye, it is difficult to believe. But he gave the example of Aaron Judge to back his answer.

He mentioned that the Yankees did the same with Judge, and he eventually ended up going back to the Bronx. But this case is totally different. It was reported that Vladimir Guerrero Jr wanted a long contract worth $500 million with deferrals but the Blue Jays were not ready to settle.
Heyman also goes on to say that Soto’s one mistake was not disclosing and limiting the number. Heyman actually questioned why Guerrero Jr’s camp allowed him to do that. But all this happened after the stalled negotiations with the Blue Jays. As soon as this happened, there were rumors that Guerrero Jr was looking at the Mets for a move but that never happened.
So, what now? If history tells us anything, baseball contract sagas are never truly over until the ink dries—and sometimes, not even then. The Blue Jays might not have wanted to spend $500 million, but if Guerrero Jr keeps swinging, they may soon wish they had.
