Just when the baseball world thought the Vladimir Guerrero Jr chaos had settled, a new twist emerges—because, of course, it always does. In a saga that had New York Mets fans prematurely celebrating and Toronto Blue Jays faithful biting their nails, a major shift is on the horizon. The drama isn’t over, but let’s just say Toronto might be getting the last laugh.

The news from an MLB insider is probably changing the game and it has got the fans screaming.

During a podcast, Jon Heyman said that Guerrero Jr might stay with the Blue Jays. “I kinda believe that he may end up going back to the Jays.” He knows that during a time when the player and the management are not even looking eye to eye, it is difficult to believe. But he gave the example of Aaron Judge to back his answer.

He mentioned that the Yankees did the same with Judge, and he eventually ended up going back to the Bronx. But this case is totally different. It was reported that Vladimir Guerrero Jr wanted a long contract worth $500 million with deferrals but the Blue Jays were not ready to settle.

Heyman also goes on to say that Soto’s one mistake was not disclosing and limiting the number. Heyman actually questioned why Guerrero Jr’s camp allowed him to do that. But all this happened after the stalled negotiations with the Blue Jays. As soon as this happened, there were rumors that Guerrero Jr was looking at the Mets for a move but that never happened.

So, what now? If history tells us anything, baseball contract sagas are never truly over until the ink dries—and sometimes, not even then. The Blue Jays might not have wanted to spend $500 million, but if Guerrero Jr keeps swinging, they may soon wish they had.

With free agency looming, Guerrero Jr keeps focus on winning, not contracts

In an era where contract drama dominates headlines, some players let the noise get to them—Vladimir Guerrero Jr isn’t one of them. While speculation swirls and reporters dig for answers, the Blue Jays slugger has made one thing clear: He’s here to win, not play negotiations. Whether Toronto listens or not? Well, that’s another story.

Heading into his final season with the Blue Jays, Guerrero Jr’s contract drama is bigger than ever. But the player is more interested in winning than scratching his head about other things. He said, “We are grown men here, and we understand the business.”

He acknowledged that there were some issues between the management and him, but when the season starts, it is down to baseball and nothing else. The slugger stressed that his sole focus is winning games and helping his team reach the goal they have set for the season.

So, while the media speculates and fans debate, Guerrero Jr will be doing what he does best—crushing baseballs. The front office can dance around the numbers all they want, but if Toronto Blue Jays aren’t careful, they might just be negotiating his farewell tour instead of his future.
