On lap 47 an incident occurred when Lando Norris collided with Lance Stroll and ended both their races. As it turned out, Lando Norris tried to make a move down the inside of the Racing Point. However, he got it wrong and tagged Stroll and brought out the Safety Car.

Up until then, the race had been going on like normal, with Lewis Hamilton leading. However, the introduction of the Safety Car will negate everything. Now, the Safety Car period will be ending soon and it will be business as usual.
