“So,” Irvin continued, “Aaron was thinking about not playing. And it showed up, man.” Irvin didn’t beat around the bush and went straight to the point. He believes that the very thought of getting retired reflects in one way or another in the performance. And when this happens, it is time to let go.

Irvin, however, believes that this can be reversed, as he said, “I expect him to play much better.” This proves the point that even the critiques believe that the quarterback, despite giving a pitiful performance against the Saints, still has the spark left in him somewhere.

Rodgers will bounce back

Aaron Rodgers certainly had the most eye-catching offseason of the year. Rodgers had a long dispute over his contract with the Packers and at one point, he even came very close to the decision of getting retired. Rodgers even refused to practice or workout with the Packers and took a long worldwide trip with his fiancee, Shailene Woodley instead.

Although he also raised hopes of the fans as he said, “You’ve got to hope that he is ready, because there’s nothing that you can say.” However, it is pretty much expected that the Packers star will bounce back hard and make it clear to his critiques that he has so much football left in him.
