Do you know that Jordan Spieth is the second youngest Masters winner, just behind Tiger Woods? When he won the prestigious U.S. Open in 2015, he became the youngest golfer to have done so since Bobby Jones in 1923. However, Spieth doesn’t seem to be holding well onto this particular star side of his in recent times. His 2024 and 2025 seasons will tell you that much.

In his 22 tournament appearances in 2024, Jordan Spieth went through the pain of 7 missed cuts, including one disqualification at The Genesis Invitational because of signing the wrong scorecard. He had the top three finishes. Not a very good look at a two-time major champion. But hey, fans still hoped he would do good in 2025. And he seems to be doing slightly better.
This year, he has played in 6 events so far. He finished T4 at the WM Phoenix Open, followed by T9 Cognizant Classic. His poor performance in the past season could be attributed to his wrist injury, for which he has undergone surgery. Besides this, he missed the cut at The Genesis Invitational, certainly disappointing his long lines of fans, and missed an exemption for API. However, this and his Pebble Beach finish boosted him in OWGR rankings. He went from 84th to 65th! However, now that he’s active and playing moderately, when can the fans expect to see him again? He’ll be teeing up at the Valero Texas Open.

The 2021 champion will be looking to return to his form at the Oaks Course. The tournament will run from April 3 – April 6 and will host golfers like Max Homa, Rickie Fowler, and Ludvig Aberg, among others. The golfers will be vying for the winner’s share of $1.71 million and 500 FedEx Cup points. After this, Jordan Spieth will obviously play at Augusta. His appearance in the RBC Heritage Open is not confirmed yet, but he’s set to appear in all other majors too, as of now.

“How about Jordan Spieth? Speed wedges, um, his short game, it’s just so good,” Miles Russell said when he was asked to name a Tour player with a skill or strength he admires the most. And, well, his response was as sincere as it can get.
Russell will tell you how he first became Spieth’s fan. “I think the first one I’ve remembered on TV is probably Jordan Spieth Masters, okay 2015.” At that time, Russell was only 6 years old! The host seemed just as impressed with Russell’s response and called it a “very good answer.”
