“Every time I’m able to win a tournament, the first person I look for is my wife,” Scottie Scheffler shared after his 2025 Open Championship victory. Scheffler might dominate golf headlines, but off the course, his life revolves around his longtime partner, Meredith.

Who Is Scottie Scheffler’ Wife, Meredith?

Meredith Scheffler (earlier Meredith Scudder) was born to Michelle and Mark Scudder on May 12, 1996, in Texas. And the Texan grew up with two siblings—Andrew and Stephanie.

She attended Highland Park High School and graduated in 2014. This is where she first laid eyes on the world’s number one and fell for him. Later, she proceeded to study communication and business at Texas A&M University and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in 2018.

What is Meredith Scheffler’s height and age?

As of 2026, Scudder is 29 years old. While her exact height is not publicly documented, she appears to be average. However, she does stand slightly shorter than Scottie Scheffler, who is 6’3”.

She is known to be a devout follower of Christ’s teachings. Even Scheffler has often talked about his faith. Back in 2018, during an appearance on the Sports Spectrum Podcast, Scheffler gave a glimpse of her faith.

“Meredith told me this morning, ‘If you win this golf tournament today, if you lose this golf tournament by 10 shots, if you never win another golf tournament again.’ She goes, ‘I’m still going to love you; you’re still going to be the same person; Jesus loves you, and nothing changes.’ All I’m trying to do is glorify God, and that’s why I’m here, and that’s why I’m in this position.”

How did Scottie Scheffler and Meredith meet?

Scottie Scheffler’s wife first met him at Highland Park High School in Dallas. They were both freshmen. However, romance didn’t bloom immediately. Instead, Scottie spent three years building their friendship before they started dating in their senior year.

“I had to woo her for a few years,” Scottie admitted during a press conference. Initially, Meredith noticed his humble personality. “At the beginning of high school, I always thought he had a super humble ambiance about him,” she recalled. “He was just a really down-to-earth guy that doesn’t take himself too seriously.”

Surprisingly, Scottie Scheffler’s wife discovered his golf talent through television. She saw him featured in a commercial for the Byron Nelson tournament. They were hanging out at her house when the advertisement appeared. “Wait a minute, isn’t that next weekend? Isn’t that what you’re doing?” she asked after recognizing her boyfriend.

That moment opened her eyes to his exceptional abilities. Subsequently, it launched her journey as his biggest supporter.

Their relationship survived a major test during college years. Meredith attended Texas A&M while Scottie chose the University of Texas. These rival schools made dating complicated. Nevertheless, they maintained their long-distance relationship for four years.

Eventually, Scottie proposed during a 2020 hiking trip to Arbor Hills Nature Preserve in Texas. The couple married on December 4, 2020, at Arlington Hall in Dallas. Their winter wonderland-themed reception featured Christmas lights and red bows.

Furthermore, John Cain Photography documented their special day. Guests received red Santa hats and threw snow as the newlyweds departed. The couple made their exit in a golf cart adorned with a “Just Married” banner.

What does Meredith do for a living?

Meredith Scudder works as a Connections Liaison for Behind Every Door (BED). She also serves as Director of Curating Opportunities for the same Christian nonprofit organization. BED creates hope through faith-based programs in low-income neighborhoods across America.

The organization’s mission statement declares, “Behind Every Door exists to create Christ-centered pathways of hope.” Moreover, Scottie Scheffler’s wife maintains a part-time schedule with the nonprofit. This arrangement enables her to focus on motherhood while continuing to pursue community service.

“I believe everyone has unique gifting,” Meredith explained to Veritex Community Bank. “I love being part of an organization that is showing kids their giftings.” Meanwhile, Scottie often volunteers alongside his wife at BED events. Their shared commitment to faith strengthens their bond beyond golf.

“We love that it starts with listening,” Scottie explained about BED’s approach. “We don’t say, ‘This is what you need,’ but rather, ‘We want to build a relationship with you.'”

Meet Meredith and Scottie Scheffler’s Children

Scottie Scheffler’s wife gave birth to their son, Bennett, on May 8, 2024. Notably, Meredith missed Scottie’s 2024 Masters victory because she was nine months pregnant.

“To my lovely wife, Meredith. I love you, sweetheart. I’m excited to get home,” Scottie declared during his victory speech.

Since then, Bennett regularly appears at tournaments, melting hearts alongside his parents. He stole the show at the Hero World Challenge when he tried to eat his father’s golf cap while Meredith laughed.

Additionally, Bennett joined his parents in Paris during the 2024 Olympics. The family chose a hotel distant from the event to spend quality time together. “Made it to Paris & Bennett loved the Louvre,” Scottie posted on Instagram.

Most importantly, Bennett has reshaped Scottie’s priorities. “I don’t want to leave, but I have to leave,” Scottie confesses about departing from his family for tournaments.

And now, the couple is expecting another child, which pushed Scheffler away from the 2026 Texas Children’s Houston Open.

What is Meredith’s Instagram account?

She manages her Instagram profile through the handle @meredithscheffler. However, with 46 posts, 1893 followers, and 1438 following, she has kept her profile private and away from scrutiny.

Meredith Scudder represents more than just a supportive spouse. She embodies the values that allow greatness to flourish. As Scottie continues dominating professional golf, Meredith remains his anchor while pursuing her meaningful career in community service.
