So far, despite delayed and missed coverages, the 2025 Masters season is going strong. Now, leading the pack after two days of play is the 2013 US Open winner Justin Rose. With a steady one-under 71, he set the clubhouse target at 8-under at Augusta, navigating the gusty winds effectively.

However, Rose is quietly followed by Bryson DeChambeau in second and Rory McIlroy. Adapting to the Round 2 weather, McIlroy roared back with a bogey-free 66, capped by a fearless eagle on 13. Then, there’s Corey Conners in T3, while Scottie Scheffler waits with Shane Lowry, Matt McCarty, and Tyrrell Hatton. A juicy contest is set up for the moving day, and one external factor could make or break the golfers: the weather.

The Accuweather had predicted 45% chances of rain for round 2 and 85% for the initial round. Though the second round was set to be gloomy, the clouds stayed calm. Now, round 3 is here, and so is its weather report. Here’s a look.

The Masters round 3 weather predictions

For the hiccup on Monday, ticket holders received refunds and priority access for 2026 practice rounds. The scheduled Monday practice, which had been open for people to watch, was marred by weather issues. “Given the current forecast, we will open ticket gates at 8 a.m., and patron parking lots are now open. We will continue to monitor the approaching weather. The grounds will remain open this morning as the weather permits,” read the second official announcement. However, due to severe thunderstorms and rains, the Augusta officials sounded a warning horn sometime later, indicating that the patrons exit as the conditions were inclement.

This was worse last year with the round 1 and 2 facing thunderstorms and heavy winds. Later that year, Hurricane Helene caused enough damage to Augusta National Golf Club, leading to noticeable changes in the course’s landscape for the 2025 Masters.

Jump to 2025, round 2 urged golfers to adjust with the winds, but not heavy rain as predicted. Now, for the crème de la crème, the weekend weather is very crucial, especially on Saturday, which is dubbed the moving day.

While neither wind nor rain is expected to play spoilsport on Saturday (the forecast says that there is only a 1% chance of rain), the course can expect to be severely sunny, with a UV Index of 9. So, if you are in Augusta, you might as well load up on sunscreen. Temperatures are expected to be pleasant, with 68° F expected to be the high. There is going to be slight cloud cover, with occasional wind gusts of 30 km/h (18.6 mph).
