LPGA pro; Minjee Lee has not been able to win any events this year. The 2022 U.S. Women’s Open champion has only managed to get 4 top-10 finishes in the 16 cuts she made throughout the season.

Even her last outing at the LPGA Tour season-ending event didn’t go too well. She finished T30 in the CME Group Tour Championship 2024 to continue her drought. But that didn’t demotivate her from neglecting her fans.

The Australian pro golfer recently went back to her home country after the end of the LPGA season. Soon after she reached there, she was scheduled to have a fan meet. Unfortunately, it started pouring heavily in the region where she was supposed to meet her fans.

That, however, didn’t stop the 28-year-old from backing out of her commitments. Minjee Lee shared a story on her Instagram account where she is seen geared up to battle the monsoon weather. The story shows her signing autographs for two young fans who were eager to meet the local star. The same story also had another picture of her with the same fans posing for the camera to create a wonderful lifelong memory for them.

The story was originally posted by @golfaust and shared by Lee on her personal account. It’s great to see that a major winner like Minjee Lee is still committed to attending to her fans even though she recently returned home after a disappointing season and was met with such bad weather conditions.

This is quite the opposite reaction to the weather conditions than her fellow Australian golfer, Cameron Smith has expressed recently. Let’s see what he had to say.

Cameron Smith voices his opinions

The LIV Golf star Cameron Smith is at the Kingston Heath golf course as a part of the Australian Open field. Sitting at T49 after the third round, Smith has not had such a great tournament so far. In search of a title outside of LIV Golf, Cameron Smith has also not had a great run. However, unlike Minjee Lee, Smith has deflected the blame for his bad performance at the Australian Open 2024 on the bad condition of the course.

Smith has complained about the weather conditions and slow course that have apparently hindered his play style. The 31-year-old also shared how the weather had already affected the Australian PGA Championship last week and it’s the same situation at the Australian Open as well. Smith was incredibly close to winning the Australian PGA Championship 2024, but the tournament was cut short by one round due to rain.
