At the mere age of twenty-three, she achieves a significant amount of success to make her name bold on women’s golf circuits. Right now, Maja Stark is back on the golf course for the 2023 Buick LPGA Shanghai after a successful journey for the Solheim Cup in Spain.

Stark is in first place at the Qizhong Garden Golf Club. The Swedish golfer is in her best form right now. However, amid her fanatical game, Stark is in awe of her Solheim Cup teammate.

2023 Dana Open champion is the next top player

But in her opinion, her native country star and her Solheim Cup teammate, Linn Grant, stick out the most. ”I mean, Linn Grant would probably also be one. I would say she’s the next,” said Stark. ”Linn Grant. I feel like, well, she’s better ranked than me. We’re the same age. I think people would say she’s the next top player for Europe, but I’m trying to catch her.”

This year, Grant won her first LPGA title at the 2023 Dana Open. Grant is ranked fifteenth, while Stark is ranked forty-second on the Rolex list. Stark’s prediction of the next elite player from Europe appears to be accurate. Not only Grant, but Stark also praised two players on whose country’s soil she is leading.

Maja Stark is in praise of fellow Chinese golfers

Reporters asked Stark about the Chinese players, since a couple of Chinese players are in the top ten rankings. Stark is really impressed with Ruoning Yin that, since at such an young age, she became the world No. 1 player.

”Ruoning Yin just became the first Chinese player, right, to be world No. 1, so that’s a really good sign for Chinese golf, especially since she’s so young. I think she’s going to be around for a really long time,” said the Swedish golfer.

Xiyu Lin’s victory in the 2023 Aramco Team Series was also acknowledged by Stark. Although Stark admires her fellow golfers, Stark is also no less than them and is showing her great skills right now.
