A 33-year-old golfer who outshone famous golfers like Sergio Garcia, Patrick Reed, and Jason Kokrak on the Asian Tour before, John Catlin has been known for his professional pursuits. However, unlike his other teammates and LIV Golf colleagues, this 2024 reserve player is not at all seen with a personal support system on the greens. Are you tired of scrolling through his Instagram to find out if he has a partner? Then here is what you need to know.

John Catlin has successfully secluded his private life from the public. All of his social media handles are primarily dedicated to his career and performance. Neither has he mentioned a partner in his interviews before. Thus, it is safe to say that Catlin’s personal or love life is quite in the dark.

While other golfers like Brooks Koepka or Anthony Kim are seen celebrating with their partners, Jena Sims and Emily Kim, respectively, Catlin is observed to be chatting with his caddie, Nathan Mulrooney, or visiting restaurants in his free time.

With ample post-event interviews of Catlin from across Asian and European Tours, his passion for golf is the only interest that pops up. After he ranked 6th in the Order of Merit on the Asian Tour, John Catlin first got the offer to be a member of the European Tour in 2019. The very next year, he won two titles on the European tour, including the Estrella Damm N.A. Andalucía Masters and the Dubai Duty-Free Irish Open.

But his latest focus has been solely on LIV Golf. Although Catlin has not disclosed any plans for his personal goals, let us explore what he wishes to achieve at LIV Golf.

John Catlin’s goal for his position in LIV Golf

As of 2024, John Catlin is a reserve player who is leading the LIV Golf Nashville event as of the third round. Along with Bryson DeChambeau, Paul Casey, and Anirban Lahiri, Catlin has been elevating the Crusher’s GC on the charts. He has also addressed how his present position in the league is creeping in. He confessed, “I’d be lying if I said it didn’t creep in there, but again, I don’t really have any control over that. That’s up to the captains. That’s up to managers. That’s up to the team organization.”

However, Catlin revealed that he plans to put in all the work as much as possible on his end. According to Golf Monthly, he said, “If I just keep doing what I’m doing, things are going to work out, and I’m going to keep putting in the work, and I hope I get more opportunities to showcase what I can do. We’ll just have to wait and see.”

Catlin has also declared that he wishes to get a much more permanent status in LIV Golf. He thus said, “I would love to be out here.” Bryson DeChambeau, who has played with Catlin before, called him a “stellar player” who fits in the Crushers GC extremely well in Charles Howell III’s absence. However, Catlin simply does not wish to be a reserve player and is trying his best.
