Star golfers to watch out for at the 2025 LIV Golf Miami

Miami is up for some mojito-fueled energy and a strong leaderboard at the Blue Monster one more time. The defending champion, Dean Burmester, is doing well this season. In his 7 appearances in 2025, Burmester missed only one cut at the Hero Dubai Desert Classic. His top finishes were at LIV Golf Hong Kong (2) followed by LIV Golf Riyadh (T4). Additionally, he is ranked fifth in the LIV Golf standings. If his last year’s performance is anything to go by, he will likely give Sergio Garcia another tough competition.

If Dean Burmester is doing well, Garcia is not behind. Having registered a win in Hong Kong, he is currently third in the LIV Golf standings. Additionally, he has led his team, Fireballs GC, to three consecutive victories this season. So, why is he the one to look forward to? Well, the playoff result at last year’s Miami event must have left a bitter taste in his mouth. And he is likely to fix his bogey mistakes this time. And he is not alone.

Another strong player is Phil Mickelson. Mickelson finished 47 at last year’s Miami event, but he is looking good this season. In his three starts, the golfer made his best finish in Hong Kong (3). His next best finish? It came in Singapore with T19. Jon Rahm is doing just as well this season. Although he missed the cut at the Hero Dubai Desert Classic, he brought his best game forward in Adelaide (5). He followed it with strong performances in Hong Kong (T6) and Singapore (T5). A strong player to watch out for? Definitely! Who else?

We also have Charl Schwartzel, Bubba Watson, Bryson DeChambeau, and Brooks Koepka in the field. Koepka had a rough LIV Golf Miami 2024. Struggling after a strong start and finishing T-45, he had bounced back later! Who will you tune in for? Let us know!
