Despite a Master’s podium  (T3) finish and a LIV Golf Dallas win, Patrick Reed was left off Keegan Bradley’s preference list. After outplaying the entire European team at the BMW PGA Championship, Reed has sent a strong message, pressuring Bradley to reconsider before it’s too late.

The US team has five vice-captains for the 2025 Ryder Cup: Webb Simpson, Brandt Snedeker, Kevin Kisner, Jim Furyk, and Gary Woodland. Meanwhile, Europe’s Luke Donald surprised many by naming Alex Noren vice-captain after his British Masters win, followed by a BMW PGA Championship victory. Fans now wonder if Bradley will follow suit. Reed, after the Ryder Cup team snub, has now defeated all the European team players at the BMW PGA Championship.

He finished the event in tied third place with rounds of 69-68-69-66. Even that performance earned praise, as Foreplay posted on X, writing, “Patrick Reed beat every European Ryder Cup player this week at the BMW PGA.” Even another post reminded Bradley about the probable option writing, “Luke may have been very smart and inspired to announce Alex as vice captain, after his win at the British Masters and after the US picks. If it’s not too late, maybe Keegan should do the same with Patrick Reed… 🫣😘 #RyderCup BTW, PR should jump back in the top 50 #OWGR…”

Not to forget his exceptional performance at the Ryder Cup in the past. The golfer has a 7-3-2 record of three Ryder Cups, including a perfect 3-0-0 in singles. Notably, at Hazeltine in 2016, he outdueled Rory McIlroy in a Sunday showdown that still echoes in golf lore. Reed made birdie after birdie with fist pumps that ignited the crowd. As the Ryder Cup is just a week away, the fans are asking the captain to bring him as the vice-captain, or regret it later.

However, being part of LIV Golf, he does not receive the ranking points necessary to improve his position. Neither did he get the advantage in the Ryder Cup standings. The result was clear for Captain America to sit out of the tournament.

Another wrote sadly, “But doesn’t play in the US Ryder Cup team👀” Shockingly, the post, which praised the golfer beating the entire European team, has left the golfer in shock. Well, even if he was not picked for the Ryder Cup as a player, this is the chance for Bradley to make the call and add him to the squad as the sixth vice captain.

More netizens joined in writing, “Shame he’s not playing in the Ryder Cup then !!!!” and “He should have the chance to do it again in 2 weeks!!” The golfer recorded 21 birdies in four rounds and stayed below 70 consistently. However, his performance and great history are often criticized by the fans for being ignored.

Another wrote, “His nickname is literally Captain America.” The golfer, who once lit up the entire crowd with his energy and performance, earned the name Captain America. But now with the team performing, the “Captain America” is still not considered for the vice captain position.
