Bryson DeChambeau and the unlucky PGA professional

Lately, DeChambeau has been in the spotlight of the media! Be it for his bold comments for LIV or his roller-coaster weight loss journey, the golf pro has garnered a lot of attention from fans. And now that attention only increases, all thanks to a not-so-incredible shot at the PGA Championship.

On Thursday, although he ended the suspended round towards the top of the table, 4-under par, it wasn’t all brilliance from DeChambau on the course. At one point, in fact, he hit such a poor shot that it soared and struck another golfer who was teeing off at the 18th hole!

The victim of his unfortunate mishit was none other than Kenny Pigman, who was preparing to tee off at the 18th hole. The 2020 US Open champion had hit the shot off the nearby 17th fairway, and it had soared straight at the PGA professional.

Fortunately, Pigman was unharmed by the shot. He was quick to react, and shielded his head, and even managed to evade the ball, which eventually glanced off his right shoulder!

DeChambeau’s wayward shot wasn’t the only one at the event, either. Just hours before the Scientist’s mishit, Joel Dahmen accidentally struck a spectator’s leg with a mishit in the practice round. The situation concluded positively as the golf pro graciously offered the fan a $100 bill to enjoy beverages.

But compared to Dahmen’s mishit, the one-time major winner’s garnered a lot more attention! Sports Center, a renowned Twitter page, shared the video, and fans flocked to it with a plateful of responses. While some were agitated while others empathized with him, there was much to say!
